We are delighted to announce that our student, CHUKWUEBUKA ANEKE, Headboy (Class of 2021), has emerged winner of the 1st prize in the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) annual essay competition. SS2 students from public and private schools in Nigeria participated in the competition tagged: “The Importance of Maintaining Health and Safety in the Use of Electricity”. The 1st Prize award plaque, along with a cheque for N500,000.00, were presented to Chukwuebuka by the NERC chairman, Engr Sanusi Garba, at the award ceremony held at NERC Headquarters, Cadastral Zone, Abuja on 23rd February. Speaking at the ceremony, the NERC Chairman said that Chukwuebuka was the first student from a school in the Southeast to win their Annual Essay Competition, and that the essays were marked by WAEC. An award plaque was also presented to the school and received by our English teacher, Mr Ifeanyi Ossai, along with prizes for both teacher and school.  We congratulate Chukwuebuka Aneke, who by this award has become an ambassador for NERC. He commended NERC, his teachers and school, as well as his parents in his vote of thanks.
