Following his exceptional 99th percentile score in the int’l Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), Jason Ihegworo (Class of 2019) has taken up admission for a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics at the University of Southern California, USA, with a generous scholarship worth $73,898 (N35.4million) per year. According to his admission letter, this offer was extended to him as a result of his “outstanding achievements—both in and out of the classroom”. The University of Southern California is featured as No. 53 on the Times Higher Education’s list of the World’s Top 100 Universities; it also stands in the top tier of American universities, ranking No. 19 in the US according to the Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Rankings 2021; and it currently has six Nobel Laureates among its lecturers. Recall that Jason had also achieved one of the top UTME scores in the country in 2019 with a score of 330 (national highest was 347). We congratulate Jason and wish him even more successes in future.
